We're in Fuzhou!

It's nearly midnight and I'm tired, but I wanted to say we're in our hotel in Fuzhou.  It took a while to post this; the wired Internet seems very nice here (unlike our hotel in Hong Kong, where the Ethernet jack was dead), except that a few sites (including one of Google's servers required to access this page) just don't happen to work.   I'm not to surprised; I've heard a lot of stories recently about the "technical difficulties" that often occur here.  To work around the problem, I set up an encrypted tunnel to the proxy server I run at my house.  It's slow, but it works!

We were going to call a couple of you tonight, but then we realized that it was Sunday morning there so you would be getting kids ready for church, and that wouldn't be nice....

Tomorrow we're leaving early to pick up Jonathan, then we're coming back to the hotel room to hang out for a while.  Hey, maybe I'll be able to check into my Sunday night ham radio net yet! ;-)
